The Roadrunner was very similar in appearance to the GTX. Both were Plymouth.

Both are reminiscent of the 1977 Burt Reynolds/Jackie Gleason film Smokey and the Bandit.

Look at that layer of dust on the hood! You'd swear it's been sitting for years on an abandoned property near Traverse City, Michigan.

My high school Latin teacher (1961-’66) was the quintessential Latin teacher: Short, stocky, in her 60’s

A nice old lady, one of my favorites ever.

And she bought a red Plymouth Barracuda when they first came out

Talk about incongruent!

I guess it is too much to ask that the rightful heir(s), if they can be found, get the proceeds?

I'd be interested in knowing the original owner history and why there are so few miles on the odometer.

Maybe owned by a young man who never made it back from Vietnam and the parents just stored it in his memory?

Being familiar with that area and knowing how popular hot cars were in that day and the miles between towns, 20,000 miles is nothing......
