ABANDONED VEHICLE AUCTION Auction-1969 Plymouth 2 door GTX
Pursuant to the Michigan Vehicle Code, section 257.252G, the Leelanau County Sheriffs Office is auctioning a 1969 Plymouth, two door, GTX.
This vehicle was deemed abandoned on private property and turned over to the Sheriffs Office. The vehicle will be listed on MITN surplus Auction on line site, beginning June 5th through June 18th, 2019.
The vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder. The winning bid amount will be due to Leelanau County Treasurer by 4:00pm on the 5th business day after the close of the auction. Payment must be in cash or cashiers check. Upon payment and presentation of government issued photo identification, Leelanau County Sheriffs Office will issue a written receipt and Bill of Sale.
This vehicle is sold as is, without any warranty of any kind and no representations are being made as to the operations status or fitness for any purpose or use for any purpose or as to any characteristic of the vehicle, ANY SUCH WARRANTIES BEING EXPRESSLY WAIVED.
This vehicle will be available for viewing in person on Tuesday, June 4th, 2019, from 9am-noon, at Bingham Towing yard, 8397 East Bingham Road, Traverse City, Michigan.
The vehicle is missing the battery and it is unknown if the engine is in running condition. The vehicle appears to have been in storage for a number of years.
Pictures of the vehicle will be listed on the auction website. The auction information will be posted on the County's website prior to June 6th. A listing will be in the May 30th printing of the Leelanau Enterprise. Below are a couple pictures of the vehicle.

I'd be interested in knowing the original owner history and why there are so few miles on the odometer.
Maybe owned by a young man who never made it back from Vietnam and the parents just stored it in his memory?
Being familiar with that area and knowing how popular hot cars were in that day and the miles between towns, 20,000 miles is nothing......
