“Wow. If I was a Walmart shareholder I’d be up in arms. NOBODY is worth that much money. Nobody.”

Money and stuff can always be replaced. Individual life can never be restored again. Families can be impacted for life and for all future generations from one death/disability.

Im not familiar with this particular case but if a company officer is found to ever place profit over human lives and caused even one death, we should demand every cent of company assets be seized. To pay victim's families to offset losses for all future generations. Then into a general fund for medical care of such victims. Then into a fund for enforcement of work safety conditions. Then the officer(s) charged with murder and publicly executed upon conviction.

That's the only way to make sure huge corporations who hold so many lives in their hands value ALL life. Also so taxpayers do not pay for the damage they cause now and for all future generations.

“and the woman was not charged, police said.”

interesting, I have seen people ticketed for simply failing to avoid an accident...

I could be wrong, but sounds like maybe it was his fault??

“About $25 for bondo, sand paper and some duplicolor paint.”

That’s a low ball estimate. It will cost at least another $10 for a spray can of clear coat!

It uses special Michelin PAX run-flat tyres,

And the spare balloon tire in the trunk comes with an air compressor.

I think that was autocorrect for “I suppose so, let me go look.”

"It uses special Michelin PAX run-flat tyres, designed specifically to accommodate the Veyron’s top speed, and cost US$25,000 per set. The tyres can be mounted on the wheels only in France, a service which costs US$70,000."

I saw a documentary on Bugatti. The leather used for the interior trim is all harvested from a herd of cattle that are maintained in an alpine pasture at an altitude where mosquitoes aren't found to minimize any scarring or blemishes to the leather. No barbed wire used for their enclosures either.

The guy is an asshole; he buys a 2 million dollar car to run around in Manhattan, is tantamount to a demolition derby. On top of that he’d be lucky if the heap is not stolen or highjacked.

If Occasional Cortex or Bernie had their way it would be illegal to own a car like that in the first place. Just think how many Yugos you could buy for that much money so they could sit broken in the parking lots of giant state-run apartment buildings.

oil changed. $21,000

Have they not heard of a fender cover/protector?
Also appeared the owner was wearing a belt with a buckle, bad idea.
Do they use an impact for everything?
Just what I want, a re-tapped thread, or helicoil on my $2M ride./NOT.

I would not say too much about the attractive finance lady, that might detract from your affected vision claim?

Good luck with the insurance companies.

My beloved P1800s was creamed in the rear by a drunk, as I sat at a light.
My insurance guy started laughing when he saw the name of the company...Industrial Fire and Casualty Insurance Company.
And said this will be a tough one.
Six or seven trips to court, and in the end I ate it.

Well, it’s used now

They say it is used the minute you drive off the lot.

And that big depreciation hit.
How much is 9% 0f TWO MILLION?

Might be able to get buy with a tube of spot putty?
No need to mix up any bondo?

Are you suggesting that it is NOT, “fine Corinthian leather”???
Oh my!

Be careful how you phrase that, the VW Corp lawyers may be watching?
