A teenager survived a shark attack off a North Carolina beach Sunday, but doctors had to amputate her left leg, according to the family.
Paige Winter, 17, was in the ocean off Fort Macon State Park when she was attacked by a shark just after noon Sunday, according to a statement from Vidant Medical Center.

The longest distance from saltwater that the MOST dangerous of man-eaters, the BULL SHARK, is known to have traveled is 1100 miles UP the Mississippi River.
Fwiw, “The Atchafalaya River MONSTER”, that was first believed to be a huge alligator, was actually an about 10-foot female Bull shark. - TRUTH is that nobody knows how many people that she attacked but the number is in the double-digits for certain.
Her victims may have been MANY, as there were lots of “mysterious disappearances” on that river at that time.
