I just tried to buy some health insurance and gee whiz, I am not allowed! How about that? It seems in New York you can only buy it in November due to the Obamacare enrollment mandate. I just got off the phone with a broker who told me. What kind of insanity is this? So if I get some disease or severely injured from now till November I'm basically screwed. Isn't government intervention wonderful?
Unbelievable. The media in this country are monsters for ignoring this! I just shoved this down Nancy Pelosis throat on her twitter.........

Same with us going to the Idaho Panhandle. But things are changing here. There was a Gay Pride parade in Post Falls last weekend and the local very liberal paper featured it on the front page with the usual glowing coverage. That’s the sort of crap we were fleeing from, unfortunately.
Third-world sh*tholes in this country have been in democRATic control for decades. The results of their liberal policies are disgusting.
Go to Healthcare.gov. and check it out yourself. I thought they had a way of getting health insurance even after the enrollment period.
Best theater. Best museums. Best restaurants. Best shopping. Best hospitals. Best horse races. (this week anyway!)
You must lead a pretty dull life.
Theater - We used to have season tickets to the theater at the 5th avenue in Seattle. Enjoyed the shows, but the parking, etc. was a nightmare. It’s much worse today.
Museums - I’ve never been much into that stuff. Again, just not worth the traffic, parking, stolen tape decks, etc.
Restaurants - As a young person, I always loved to try out new restaurants. Now, we find that every restaurant experience is somewhat of a disappointment - and expensive. There are exceptions, but still, the hassle makes it rarely worth it. We live near Louisville and it is definitely a “food” town. But restaurants are expensive and it is over an hour away from our home. Frankly, my wife’s cooking competes with most of them. Even her Pho.
Shopping - We don’t shop. If we need something we hit Amazon.
Hospitals - we don’t have health care insurance and trust the Lord. He’s been faithful - two miracle healings so far.
Horse races - we live in KY. We’ve never seen a horse race, nor are we interested.
That all said, I spent 46 years in the Seattle area and know every nook and cranny of that city. We also spent a fair amount of time in Chicago (where my wife is from). We moved to 32 acres in rural KY about 8 years ago and enjoy it every day, immensely. Our yard is a 7 acre lawn with more and more landscaped forest on the rest, and two streams. It is heaven to our Grandkids.
When we want to go out, we walk the trails on the property, go to the coffee shop in our small town to meet people, or just porch sit and watch the occasional deer, Turkey, or even Cotote wander by.
Cities no longer offer us anything. It’s a sort of “been there, done that” thing.
BTW, one fun thing is to go to the local livestock auction and have breakfast there before watching them action off the beef. It’s fun to talk to people there too.
All that said, we would like to travel around the country and are thinking of getting a new mini-van for just that. We may visit upstate NY in that trip. NYC is off limits, as is all of New Jersey. But we’ll hit the rest of the lower 48.
Yes, sounds like you’ll need to wait for November. If you had just come off another plan, you would have better chances. Just BE CAREFUL for the next few months!!
So how do you know?
Keeneland in Lexington is the place to go to get a sense of what it's all about. I used to go wherever horses runs, but now it has to be beautiful. Keeneland is beautiful. (Churchill, not so much.) Saratoga, in Upstate NY, is beautiful. I'll be making my first visit (a bucket list thing) to Kentucky Downs in Franklin in September.
ML/NJ
I take that back. We saw horse races at Longacres and Emerald downs in the Seattle area (company events) and I saw one at Churchill Downs here in Louisville (also a company event). I talked with my friends and enjoyed the free beer. The horse racing itself was a non-event (at least for me).
I do enjoy golf, for the reason you enjoy horse racing. It is beautiful - the course, I mean.
Horse racing is just not my thing. I’m not big on riding them either.
Im dull too because not a one of those things I care about, except certain museums and the interesting ones for me are in other cities. And leading hospitals in various medical specialties are found lots of places.
There was a Gay Pride parade in Post Falls last weekend and the local very liberal paper featured it on the front page with the usual glowing coverage.
Very similar in Tri-Cities but at least the front-page photo showed no affection ickkk! and there was no accompanying story (unless I missed it).
On the same day there was a Patriot Prayer rally yes, the FAR-RIGHT FASCIST group LOL which I attended, and no coverage whatsoever of that. And there were even 3-4 Antifa protesting or trying to, pretty pathetic.
I just posted it on Pelosi Twitter LOL! She’s bitching about Trump withdrawing from the Paris climate scam, so I posted this....

There were two photos in the Coeur d’Alene Press - one of a pair of lesbians with a gushing story about their family life with their daughter. What was funny was the second photo showed a (presumably) straight couple walking through the park where the fair was being held.
I read last year that San Francisco had to finally address the problem. It was hurting their tourism and convention business.
They created five new positions at an annual salary of $185,000 a year each to pick up human feces on the streets and sidewalks of the city.
I haven't seen any follow-up in the press which tells me the program is either not working out or they are going to have to do more to get a "shovel" on it.
If it was cleaning up the city, the tourism office would be bragging and putting out ads about how "fresh" the new city is. To tell people is is okay to travel their again.
But my problem with all this filth and disgust (Los Angeles included) is not so much the conditions the cities are in already. After all, if you leave spoiled food out in your kitchen and don't clean your house, you'll be infested with roaches, et. al. in no time.
My problem is how did these once grand cities devolve into these gutter dump sh*tholes in the first place?
I think we all know the answer to that question. democRATS have governed them for years.
So, Obamacare covers existing conditions, except you can’t enroll to get coverage. What a scam. There is no free lunch.
I am still livid at the Republican Legislature for not overturning Obamacare when they had both houses.
Tell me about it, especially McCain. It really is a Rat/RINO uniparty in Washington. They do absolutely nothing for the people, and even the lowest form a health coverage I found out cost a fortune. They were telling me for a single guy it would cost around $400 - $600 a month plus a $5000 to $7000 deductible. WHAT the hell good was Obamacare then?? The whole thing reeks of a scam to make certain people a lot of money, the government is so insanely corrupt that it unconstitutionally mandated the people buy a companies product or be punished for WHAT? The only reason I can see is to make a lot of money for certain people invested in these health insurance companies.
Cash prices - REAL cash prices, not the price-fixed normal "health care" ripoff.
Great rep, too.
Not yet but I am looking for a new job and hope to start it in lieu of regular health insurance. A lot of people at my church use it and that’s where I heard about it.
What the ?? Is that for REAL??? You have to be kidding me!!! $4000 to fix a hernia?? That’s what my friend has!! How is that possible? Why is it so cheap? What is there a catch where you gotta wait a year in advance?
That's the catch.
Look around for articles on the Center. I've heard nothing but good things about it.
Not sure what the wait time is, but it sounds like it would be worth his while to check into it.
