As boxer Andy Ruiz Jr. prepared to step on the scale during the weigh-in Friday afternoon for his bout against U.K. heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, he heard a taunting chant from Joshuas rowdy British fans: Who are ya? You fat bastard!
The flabby Ruiz, who is listed as 6-foot-2, smiled and flexed his biceps as he tipped the scales at 268 pounds.
Ruizs dream, of course, was to win the heavyweight title, which he pulled off in shocking fashion, stopping Joshua via a seventh-round technical knockout on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden that instantly stands as one of boxings greatest upsets ever.
Ruiz, who habitually eats a candy bar before his fights and joked that he was hopeful for a Snickers deal, was facing an opponent in Joshua, who has a chiseled physique that resembles the Incredible Hulk.

I know he may not look like the typical modern day boxer, but I always say if you put 10 guys in the ring from a gym, you wont figure out where they are at until they get punched in the face. Then youll know which ones have heart, Joshua said. Abs, biceps. That doesnt make fighters, in my opinion. I definitely dont underestimate [Ruiz].

You gotta see to believe!
Butterbean!
5.56mm
having a chiseled muscular body is not needed for many types of athletic competition.
Just ask Bartolo Colon.
Amazing!
Ruiz has a solid right hook, and uses that move repeatedly to bash the Brit in his head. He kept ringing that bell until the building collapsed.
In the other photos, I’m seeing a Latin boxer with lots of tattoos. Is this the same boxer, maybe months later?
Or the tattoos may be temporary.
Thanks for posting. So quick for a big guy
I don't know who the photo is of because the poster doesn't identify him.
he weighs more than 268.
He eats a candy bar before each fight.
Reminds me of the John Belushi commercial where he was the decathlon winner.
My secret? Little chocolate donuts.
That is Butterbean. A toughman fighter of the 90’s who did well enough to enter the pro boxing arena. Large guy, 300+. He was always a crowd favorite and had some nasty punches.
Could have been a son of a bitch from Houston, too. Wonder if this guy likes Twix or Oh Henry?
It seemed like Butterbean was just a year two back?
Time goes fast when you are having fun!!!
Found an article on him, Like the Sumo guys, he runs a restaurant:

Wow.
Snickers had some fast hands.
Little chocolate donuts, the donut of champions!
And the cigarette adds a nice touch.
