The Miss India beauty pageant has faced criticism over a lack of diversity in its finalists.
The organisation came under fire after a newspaper published headshots of all 30 women competing to take home the crown.
Twitter user LeBrown James shared a photo of the collage, asking: 'What's wrong with this picture?'
The question sparked dozens of responses from social media users who pointed out that all the women have 'fair skin', with one saying simply: 'This is so white!'

Photographing dark subjects takes more light, which requires more electricty...so...not sustainable. Sorry.
I know a few Han Chinese who do not think the southern Han are true Han, just other Chinese the Han subjegated farther back and who lost their separate Chinese identity in their assimilation into the Han. I find there is a general preference for “fairer” skin in many Asian cultures.

They all look like Caucasians of Mediterranean type. Italy and Spain could use some new blood — they would fit right in, rather than the African scum they are turning away.
I was doing some research about the Indian armed forces just the other day - and it appears most of their top commanders are pretty fair as well.

Don’t think I’ve seen a more innocent group of women. Can’t image they could be found guilty of anything. But if forced to choose I take the second from the left, top role with fourth role, far left as first runner up.

I’m not here to defend LeBron James, but look closely. It was LeBrown. I’m pretty sure that’s a different person. LeBron James would not be referred to as “Twitter user”.
Tamil-Nadu in India has very dark-skinned natives, some even charcoal black. Even the Miss Tamil-Nadus that I find photos of are very light-skinned.
Oriental countries also seem mostly to pick very European-looking representatives.
