He didn’t get a divorce then? He became a lesbian as did his wife?

I don’t have the time or inclination to watch that, but just the photo and the lead suggests to me that this father is essentially stuck in adolescence. At a time when he and mum are supposed to be helping their children “transition” from teens to young adults, no, all attention must go to him, because he’s in his butterfly stage now. I am beginning to suspect that these people simply seek to keep reinventing themselves because it requires so much attention and interest and support (medically, psychologically, and socially), it’s like being a 15 year old girl forever. So rather than learning how to be independent adults, his children are learning how to be his support group, which will be their lifelong roles. And of course, a lot of them seem eager to be on camera, on stages, doing something that garners them an audience to relive this process over and over. It never ends. The father is stuck somehow in puberty and the whole family gets stuck with him. So, yes, I’m sure they are “closer than ever.”

I don’t care to watch, either. Thanks for your insight on what is wrong with this father.

Attempting to normalize mental illness isn’t helping anybody.

The man (his DNA still says he is a man) is not just stuck adolescents, he’s stuck even further back in childhood at the very formation of identity - who I am - and stuck in an obsession that took hold in his mind that far back which questioned his natural physical self as possibly an error. All along the only error has been the errant mental obsession he acquired and failed to get rid of long ago.

Compassion and sympathy yes are deserved. But entertaining and enabling someone’s errant mental obsession is not being compassionate. It’s lying.

People who cut themselves are treated for Mental Illness.

People who have their Genitals Surgically mutilated (and the People that think this is normal) are a Voting Block.
