A man mauled by another passenger’s emotional support dog on a Delta Air Lines flight has sued the airline and the other passenger for negligence.

The lawsuit filed in Fulton County state court alleges Marlin Jackson was in a window seat when a dog sitting in the lap of the passenger next to him suddenly attacked his face and pinned him against the window of the plane.

I love pregnant women

I always speak to them offering encouragement or just to commiserate

I have a cat and no way would I fly with her. She is like a very needy child.

Housecats can be contained in the passenger cabin under the seat in a travel carrier for a fee. You put a fluffy towel under the carrier to smooth out the bumpiness.

I owned a small macaw that could fit in one and we flew from Austin to West Palm Beach without a hitch.

The animals may get noisy if fearful but talking to them in a soothing voice will keep them calm enough until you land.

In no way should an animal be in a passenger's lap, ESPECIALLY a dog. They belong in a carrier under the seat or in cargo or they shouldn't fly.

Yes, I have heard of seizure dogs as well.

There are also dogs which can tell if a diabetic is in trouble.

Because it’s really hard to stuff a dog into an overhead compartment?

That kind of misses the point. What is the reason objects are to be secured during flight is the appropriate question.

Very informative. Dogs can do some things humans are incapable of.

Vocational was never part of the old VA program. The one thing
that most said helped was seeing a PHD type to talk to.

I get blocked from a fair amount of MSM sites. With some, you can hit the ‘reload’ button and it will reload the site without the pop-up telling you that you’re blocked unless you white-list ads on their site. In my experience, it’s only media sites that do this. They want to act like reading news stories on their site is some kind of privilege. They can go suck an egg. I’m not the problem, they are with their stupid annoying ads. I just move on to the next one.

Body parts from a plane crash is mild next to men with intestines blown out from mortar and 122mm rocket rounds.

You ever seen a chopper shot down and men burned to hell, and; pinned under it? Have you ever been in combat? I mean fired a rifle or machine gun at enemy troops or are you trying to justify Coast Guard for PTSD?

The old rules going back to WWII were right. How many dogs did they WWII vets bring in public unless BLIND?

allows people to have heathen animals in places they shouldn’t be.

What can you do? It's hard to find God-fearing dogs these days.

And just try to convert one.

They look at you like you're the dumb animal.

I have seen significant PTSD in horrific situions, like WTC, accident clean up, air disaster survival/clean up, war experiences, torture, and profound sexual abuse which is a form of torture.

No I have never been in a war. It is one of the hardest things.

And no, I do not think people need emotional support animals on airplanes.

You’ve say you have seen all this PTSD in multiple areas. Are you a psychiatrist or PHD psychologist?

WWII and Korea War vets called it “shell shock” as 200-300 rounds of incoming 3-4 days a week will work on ones nerves and stomach.
