The special counsels office is flatly denying author Michael Wolffs claim in his new book that Robert Mueller drew up a draft indictment against President Donald Trump for obstruction of justice.
Wolff claims in Siege: Trump Under Fire, which will be released in June, that prosecutors drew up an indictment with three obstruction charges against Trump. The document sat on Muellers desk for the better part of a year and was the subject of heated debate within the special counsels office, Wolff claims, according to The Guardian.
Wolff claims he obtained the documents from sources close to the Office of the Special Counsel.
If true, it would be the strongest evidence so far that Mueller seriously considered charging Trump with obstruction of justice. Prosecutors ultimately deferred a decision on the obstruction question to Attorney General William Barr, who declined to pursue a case against Trump.
But theres a major problem with Wolffs allegation.
The documents that you have described do not exist, Peter Carr, a spokesman for the special counsel, told The Daily Caller News Foundation in a rare on-the-record statement. This is not the first Wolff book to face problems with accuracy.

What about the draft indictment of Michael Wolff for serial pedophilia?
Just another pack of lies that the commie media will refuse to apologize for
1. If there’s no collusion or other extenuating crimes, then obstruction and defending oneself from unlawful accusations becomes a gray area. Obstruction is used when you’re obviously trying to cover up criminal activity.
2. McCabe started the obstruction investigation even before Mueller. The point of this whole investigation was to push Trump until he shut down the investigation. The problem was, he did the opposite and gave them everything.
3. All of the obstruction ‘evidence’ is hearsay with no exculpatory testimony recorded.
4. If Andrew Weissman could have indicted Trump, it would have been done.
