In the world of clandestine intelligence operations, discovery is an ever-present danger. Operations are by definition risky. Operators, assets and projects are regularly compromised. You plan in advance for such eventualities, and you structure your networks so that they can survive adversity.
...
The network waits out the scrutiny and resumes work when things have cooled off and attention has been drawn elsewhere.
Such, in all likelihood, is exactly what is happening right now with those individuals who were part of what increasingly seems to have been a deliberate, carefully planned effort to destabilize a sitting President, overturn the results of a free and fair election and, in effect, to stage the first coup in American history.
...
Is it possible that every single individual involved in this plot has now been fired or resigned? Perhaps. It is highly unlikely. This was a plot that appears to have spanned several continents and involved what appear to have been numerous sources and contacts with multiple foreign intelligence services. An operation on such a scale would likely have involved dozens of officers from multiple agencies, even if closely held.
Where are they all now?

Like any big company, I’ll bet the honesty scale varies radically, office by office. HQ is for sure rotten, as is SDNY, and likely other big city offices. The others? Presumed rotten is appropriate.
Very well stated. Very well!!!
So many traitors and seditionists...so little Justice...so far. For the Republic to continue and flourish there must be Justice brought to each of these criminal scum. True justice. No quarter.
probably more than a few republicans in sheep’s clothing

Every one of them that supported the legitimacy of Mueller’s witch hunt.
That includes Flimsey Grahamnesty who is trying to fool the voters of SC one more time that he is on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.
I also said they were sympathizers. But yes, an element of fear is also a factor in their silence. Most feds covet their job security and benefits and are therefore strongly inclined stay quiet. But its easy, if not natural, for them to do given their liberal proclivities.
I think its part of a larger fraud of the Iran deal where it was presented as a treaty, but they made an end run around the Senate,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The only Senator to vote against the Corker bill which turned the Constitution on its head to give the Kenyan from Indonesia his “deal” with Iran was Tom Cotton.
I think Sen. Graham has seen the world uncluttered by John McCain’s backside, at last...And rather enjoys the fresh view.
He might just be okay for the most part from here on
My 2¢ (and worth about that much)
The Dems are the party of big government. It should come as no surprise that the silence has been deafening. The government unions endorsed Hillary and the Dem nominees that preceded her.
People forget that the IGs are staffed by career employees of the agencies they work for. Ultimately, these internal inspections protect the institution. It is baked into the process. I say that advisedly as a 36 year federal employee and SES official.
Which is why I've railed against using the term, "DEEP STATE"
There is NO Deep State...there is only THE GOVERNMENT !!!
What is going to be done about it is the question.
Very well said!
Step 1: Retain Donald John Trump in 2020
Step 1A: Give him a Deplorable MAGA House of Representatives
Step 2: Add 5-6 Deplorable MAGA Senators
The patient just might have a fighting chance to survive
Trump cannot do it all. It is clear that he is not fully in control of much of the bureaucracy in the Executive Agencies. There will need to be a vast purge and blood in the streets before the anti-American coup plotters are fully cleansed from the government.
Not with the level of competence we’ve come to expect from them. They are not masters of the universe, they are just common crooks who took advantage of the opportunities in front of them.
I am aware of President Trump’s situation. And I agree with your assessment 100%.
Yup
He will be back to pushing amnesty as soon as he is re-elected.
There is no “new” Grahamnesty.
He’s playing the voters for fools just like his mentor.
He learned the McCain two-step from the master.
Graham has backed every amnesty attempt since 2006, Bush League Republicans do not change their stripes, they just hide them come election time.
I suspect there are players in all the 5 eyes countries.
