Apparently TV started in the late 80's......
No Sopranos?
They got Battlestar Galactica about right.
But Seinfeld couldn’t have ended any other way.
The Prisoner!
Prison Break!
Why?
Because they gave Scylla to the flipping U.N.
Lost
I can’t judge the accuracy of this list, not having seen any of the finale episodes. (In fact, I have never seen a single episode of 12 of the 15 shows.)
The very worst series finale of all time, though, was that of “Twin Peaks”.
The only one of those I have actually seen is Seinfeld. I thought it was pretty good.
I remember liking the final episode of Quantum Leap....Very sad though..
I predict Game of Thrones will eventually occupy a top 5 slot. I guess the final episode was too fresh to be included in this list.

The Sopranos ended perfectly.
I really liked the Weeds ending, everybody but Nancy got to be happy, that was as it should be. And Madmen was great too, Don adapted again.
As for not listing older stuff shows ending on purpose is fairly new. Sure MASH, Newhart and a few others got to wrap it up, but for the most part shows back then finished filming months before the last episode of the season aired, and found out weeks after that they got canceled. Knowing going into your last season that it’s your last season is a fairly new gift for most show runners.
Apparently TV started in the late 80’s......
Just the bad TV.
One of the best was Newhart, when Bob and his wife operated an Inn in Vermont. In the final scene, they showed Bob waking up from a dream, and next to him in bed was Suzanne Pleashette, the actress that played Bob’s wife The Bob Newhart Show in the 1970’s, intimating that the entire 8 year series of “Newhart” was just a dream (O. Henry-like)
Gilligan’s Island left the all on the island while all the guest stars managed to get off the island.
Madmen!?
Shouldnt be on list.
“Lost” should be on this list.
Remember that old 80s show ALF about a wisecracking puppet alien? One of his biggest fears and why he had to be kept secret was that if they government found out about him they'd come for him to dissect him in some lab. In this sitcom series finale, the government caught ALF and took him away to be dissected. The end.
It was supposed to be a cliffhanger resolved in the first episode of the next season but that got cancelled so basically ALF being murdered by the government is how the show ended. Bummer!
never saw any of them, but one of the best HAS to be the Newhart bedroom scene finale with Suzanne Pleshette that ties it to their older show, shear geniusOnly one I ever watched was #3/Seinfeld. Others not even remotely interesting
