Today’s Cryptogram

FESI TGIJ UEA REK'N KJJR NXJ YEKJU. TELJ TGIJ UEA'LJ KJLJS VJJK XASN. RZKQJ TGIJ KEVERU'B FZNQXGKO.----BZNQXJT MZGOJ

Please note: I am fully aware that today’s quote has been attributed to many people including to no one, but the general consensus is that this person was most noted for it.

No CG on Sunday as I’ll be in Naples, FL

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: brain; cryptogram; puzzle; todayscryptogram
If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under 2 "you're a pro!"

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

I love this one. 3 minutes, contractions first then puzzling but great fun once the penny drops. A marvelous take on life.
Thank you once again.

Thanks for the link. More than a picture, a portrait which captures the complexity of the author.

2 min. Got the contraction. The rest fell into place. Recognized the quote and author. Like em both. Have a great Memorial Day in Naples.

Got me the last couple of days....

Today was like bowling a 300 because you had a broom handle supporting two balls in the gutter

Good quote and true....one of my ‘favorites’ but when a bezball player speaks he sometimes gets a good ‘following’...think Yogi, Eucker etc etc etc

Have a good trip, don’t ‘worry’ about us, I will just sit here and pull a wing off a fly and let it run around in circles...

Blessed are those that ‘run in circles’ for they shall be known as wheels..

What do you call a FLY with no wings?

A WALK......(back to baseball)

Now that be a ‘Harlem Dude’ (not being disrespectful)

Notice NO socks or spats but shined shoes

The dude outside the pool hall with the ‘go to hell’ hat looks like he about to draw down on someone or something OR he may just be reaching for a cigarette....

A bit over 2 min lots of clicking.
I knew the person, and getting the contractions helped.

Two minutes. I got the two contractions, and the rest flowed from there.
