Two Delta Air Lines flight attendants have filed a proposed class-action lawsuit alleging that wearing their uniforms causes skin rashes, headaches, fatigue and other issues.

Im sure they would love to, but the unions wont let them.
Hey, they were hot back in the 70s, when they first started flying. :)
My wife and I have a friend who has been an American Airlines flight attendant for 36 years. She still looks good - but shes obviously the exception. Other countries airlines make them move to office jobs at 30.
Lassen’s Pass became Fandango Pass. Poor Peter Lassen...lost out to a party name.
I recall hearing, many years ago, that the airlines retired stewardesses at age 32 or when they got married. Such policies would be illegal today in America.
Persia became Iran, Siam became Thailand. Upper Volta in Africa has a difficult to spell and pronounce name now.
And the town of Barrow, Alaska now has been renamed based on the name used by indigenous peoples.
On United flight from Houston to Orlando this week there were 5 or so trainee stews, all young and sweet, and even the regulars were 30ish.
Looks like most of the old timers from the 70’s are retired.
Frome what I have seen of mainland flight attendants in recent years, you may want to reconsider that
Regardless, no place you want to ever visti.
As well as the old weight limit rules. Unions gave us the fat, bitchy stews of today.
Ugly, plastic-like artificial fabric.
The new CEO wanted to make a difference, like those lousy new socially acceptable safety videos.
Has to be dry cleaned, they may be reacting to those cleaning chemicals. .
Don’t forget Mumbai/Bombay :)
Yes, it seems that when an airline changes uniforms, the unions try to agitate by making claims against the company.
They are usually settled with money and never changing the uniforms.
No opinion on Passport Plum, but I can’t wear anything that is the color teal. It doesn’t matter what fabric it is, anything in that hue make me perspire ridiculously. It’s very weird, like I’m allergic to a color.
A friend of mine is a flight attendant for another airline. They are having problems as well.
Definitely not just some rantings.
I have been through many CEOs at airlines.
They all have to pee on something and leave their mark ‘ name change, livery change, uniform change, merger.
The uniforms are supposed to be fire retardant so maybe some chemical on the uniforms? Pretty sure it is not the dry cleaning. Some can be hand washed and hung up to dry.
The most exotic flight attendant uniforms I’ve ever seen are the ones from Emirates Airlines.
“Well, take them off.”
You haven’t flown Delta lately..
Flight attendants are either senior citizens or gay men nowadays.
Keep the clothes ON!!
United attendants should sue, their uniforms make them mean, age ten years and gain 30 lbs.....
