Democratic presidential candidates are seizing on new laws restricting abortion in states such as Alabama and Georgia as an opportunity to propose abortion policies and make pledges to not only preserve abortion access, but to expand it. Some candidates are attempting to set themselves apart from the crowded field with their pledges. Many, such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., have said that they will appoint only Supreme Court justices who accept Roe v. Wade as settled law and support legislation to codify Roe v. Wade federally in order to preempt state and local restrictions. Several, including Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., and Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J, have also called to repeal the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal funds from being spent on abortion services.

The Elitists in Washington want to call the shots on this and want to make sure that We The People at the state and local levels have no say in the matter.
All of these clowns are yankees from up north and have the notion that states should NOT be allowed to decide for themselves, but instead should be provinces ruled by Rome (DC).
What they don’t seem to grasp is that liberal “sacred cows” only help them in places they are already going to win. They still haven’t figured out how the EC works.
I see this as another “Everyone I know voted for McGovern” moment.
The idea of states being able to determine their own abortion policies is going to energize and enrage voters in those states that would have been solid Blue regardless. This will certainly motivate the other states as well, but not in the direction Democrats are thinking.
Thank God for the wisdom of our founders in setting up the Electoral College.
That’s ok, we are seizing on the VA and NY infanticide laws. Let’s see who wins the murders or the supposedly evil anti-murder clan.
If they campaign against these pro-life laws, why not campaign on the promise to spread the NY and VA abortion-promoting laws to the whole country through federal legislation?
When they do these things openly one must wonder what horrific crimes they do in secret.
I honestly would not be surprised to see these same folks at some point running ads promoting aborting babies to use for spare body parts, life extension / youthfulness therapies, and even food.
“Lawlessness and depravity” has become the Democrat party motto.
ABORTION - IT’S FOR THE CHILDREN!
The Republican response should be to capitalize on late term abortions.
