I am waiting to see how they rap up SW Ep 9.
‘How to Train Your Dragon 3’ was as good or better than the other two.
But...I guess that’s not the kind of thing you meant...:-)
Oh I agree. I never watched the series on tv. I recently, through the encouragement of my daughter, watched the series on Amazon Prime. I have two episodes to go and I dread when it ends Ive enjoyed it so much. I saw Upstairs/Downstairs long time ago and I enjoyed that too . Im thinking about getting the series and looking at it again.
“Im thinking about getting the series and looking at it again.”
I think it’s worth a second viewing. Almost all good shows are worth watching a second time. Another series that I’ve watched repeatedly is “Breaking Bad”. I didn’t like the title of the show, so I didn’t watch it when it originally aired. But, oh my goodness, it was an outstanding show. I have watched the entire series several times, and it was worth it to me.
Aliens
I have not seen Downton Abbey it’s on my list. Right now I am obsessed with “Shetland”.
And, as you say, "Godfather II" was as good, or better than I - but it was a continuation of the story. We won't talk about III.
But - you're absolutely correct. In general, 98% of the time, sequels and remakes are a lesser product, simply designed to capture revenue.
And don't get me started on IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and so on. Talk about milking the cow dry....
The Dowager was the bomb! So many great lines.
Lethal Weapon 2
Terminator 2: Judgement Day
She's not listed at all in the cast, and on her IMDb page, the movie's not listed in her filmography. The last movie I saw her in was "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society", which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The sound of the theme music alerts me that death and tragedy are imminent.
Include me on that list, too.
The first season completely hooked me.
The subsequent seasons got less and less interesting. I think the biggest flaw was that the producers let Julian Fellowes write EVERY episode - 52 in total!
No writer has ever been that good.
By the way, did you know that Maggie Smith - the Dowager - won the Academy Award for Best Actress for “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie” in 1969?
I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been binge watching since May.
One disappointment.
As far as I know, Lily James (Lady Rose MacClare), is not in the movie.
She became my favorite character.
She was very cute, and I liked the energy she brought to the TV series.
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
By far the best of Star Trek movies, not even close.
She was adorable and very natural in her role. He clothes were beautiful. I loved Shrimpy. lol I’m still watching I am on round two and on Season 6. When I’m done I will have nothing to watch. :(
I started to tape episodes after Matthew died— as I was busy at night. But I never watched them and lost interest. I do miss Maggie Smith. She played that part so well! Well— she would play anyone well as she is an excellent actress.
