I am ok with Latin, I can limp along in Hebrew but all I remember of Greek are the phrases he DIDN'T teach me.

I took college French and had to drop it.
To me, learning another language is geometry, which I did poorly at, and not algebra, which I excelled at.
Algebra gives you the tools to figure abstract things out.
Geometry means memorizing a lot of things unrelated to each other. I’m bad at that.
New language acquisition provided me no pegs to hang things on, no tools to figure them out.
