Trump fires back at 'loser' GOP lawmaker who said he'd engaged in 'impeachable conduct'

President Trump on Sunday ripped Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) for saying that the president had reached the "threshold for impeachment," accusing the conservative lawmaker of leveling the charge "for the sake of getting his name out there through controversy." "Never a fan of @justinamash, a total lightweight who opposes me and some of our great Republican ideas and policies just for the sake of getting his name out there through controversy," Trump said on Twitter. ....he would see that it was nevertheless strong on NO COLLUSION and, ultimately, NO OBSTRUCTION...Anyway, how do you Obstruct when there is no crime and, in fact, the crimes were committed by the other side? Justin is a loser who sadly plays right into our opponents hands! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 19, 2019

He and his family are financially dependent on doing business with China. The tariffs are hurting that business, thus creating the real reason for him speaking out in favor of impeachment. Trump needs to point this out.

When Democratic politicians want attention they run for president. As candidates, they get to make speeches all over the country, collect campaign donations, be interviewed by the media, etc.

In contrast, when Republicans want attention — Justin Amash, Rand Paul, Mitt Romney — they attack the Republican president, leading to maybe five minutes of media coverage followed by anger from the president’s supporters, followed often by reputation-destroying one-liners from the president.

Infantile exhibitionism doesn’t work well in the Republican party, but it’s welcomed with open arms by the Democrats, who’d probably be happy to have Justin Amash, Rand Paul, and Mitt Romney join their twenty-five other presidential hopefuls in the 2020 race.

It is perpetually astonishing how corrupt, activist, and worthless the establishment federal government is.

Sure, but they were guilty as sin. They still deny everything to this day, even after incontrovertible proof is produced. They will argue about the color of the sky on a clear day.

I had forgotten, or never really knew, how popular Richard Nixon was in 1972, he won something like 520 Electoral College votes, and the popular vote was ~ 69 million to 37 million. Yet he was setup and taken down.

That ain't happening this time.

This time, the Dems are gonna end up on DC cherry trees if they want to push it that far.
