Even though its a fraud the article is well written and entertaining.
I notice this:
Some have had their faith in classical physics shaken. Tim Tight, a tech adviser in the Bay Area with a masters in engineering and an M.B.A., both from Stanford, visited IEC in April, after hearing about the Earth Engine for more than a year. It sounded too good to be true, he said. He returned from his visit a believer and began reaching out to friends and former classmates at Stanford, looking for a Ph.D. physicist to explain why the machine isnt violating the laws of thermodynamics.
I would not take this guys opinion seriously considering he apparently does understand the difference between electrodynamics and thermodynamics.
Yes. I guess an electron is a monopole.
As an engineer debunks these things Ive heard about these for years yes they are real but fly wheels are huge pain in the butt and very big and dangerous
Thats the major drawback of these things
Im a hydrogen guy from way back which is just starting to happen and Im really just putting in solar panels most of the time because they work like the dickens
A fridge with a Bayliss generator?
Not me. I always insist there be a Bay in my generator.
If it’s Bayliss, I’m sending it back.
“the resulting center shaft torque produced from angular momentum derived from the force of paired magnetic fields.”
that sounds exactly like an ordinary electric motor to me ...
i can’t believe the WSJ fell for this bullshit.
magnetic perpetual motion machine scams have been around for a very long time;

that sounds exactly like an ordinary electric motor to me ...
I too, view it as similar to an AC induction motor.
Using large magnets in the stator and rotor.
The stator is not fixed but moves to optimize attraction and opposition.
The motive force is the magnets until they wear out in 3-4 years.
Quotable: He has pulled the wrong tooth! There’s only one man who would pull the wrong tooth. It’s Clouseau! Kill him! Kill him! [while laughing from the effects of laughing gas]
Right up there with “I thought you said your dog does not bite” and...
Woman: That was a priceless Steinweigh.
Clouseau: Not any more.
Brings back fond memories. I think I actually have “Pink Panther Strikes Again” buried somewhere in my old movie collection.
I love this stuff. There was a guy who supposedly perfected an engine that was based on a WWII German engine. He named the Engine the Mity Mite. It was supposed to produce 1200 hp out of a suit case size engine. The crank shaft was about an inch and half in diameter. I almost feel out of my chair laughing. Then there was another magnet guy who had this engine that worked by aligning elections in such a way to produce free energy. Both these guys needed investors , big investors to develop their inventions! Seems those devices are still waiting for the investors.
Buy one. Tell us how (it doesnt) work for you.
“yes they are real”
They are not real.
A magnet with a crystal and you got something big!
The Brits invented Cavorite. Known fact......
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Men_in_the_Moon_(1964_film) er... documentary
In 1899, Arnold Bedford and his fiancée Katherine Callender known as Kate meet an inventor, Joseph Cavor, who has invented Cavorite, a substance that will let anything it is applied to or made of deflect the force of gravity and which he plans to use to travel to the Moon. Cavor has already built a spherical spaceship for this purpose, taking Arnold and (accidentally) Kate with him. While exploring the Moon, Bedford and Cavor fall down a vertical shaft and discover to their amazement an insectoid population, the Selenites, living beneath the surface.
The corrected link for the ‘documentary’.

Can they use the EARTH MOTOR to power a Tesla rocket?
TANSTAAFL..............
In my unconsidered opinion, in a field that I know nothing.
I BELEIVE IT WORKS. See #68 and the link that you posted.
No laws of the physical world are defied.
The laws of economics will determine the fate of the Earth motor.
Yes, the free lunch problem.
Does the output exceed the cost of production in dollars?
It weights thousands of pounds and only runs for three or four years?
Also a bit heavy to install in the backseat of a Tesla.
For me, I sticking with my plan to massively scale up my ‘drinking bird’ generator. Much simpler than the Earth Motor. Also looking ahead to a convocation of drinking birds to be mounted on the roof of Teslas everywhere.
I can send a prospectus if you are interested?
Another “miracle magnet-based over-unity-claimed investor-dollar-grabbing machine”.
Oh - and a Maxwell’s Equations “homo-polar” (single pole magnet) violation.
Meanwhile, the actual, validated work by Dr. Randell L. Mills & company goes overlooked.
Quick intro - skips a LOT of history and the validation work done in the past decade and more:
