Jay Inslee, the governor of Washington state, is introducing a second portion of his climate change plan as most Democratic contenders for president have yet to officially roll out their own big-picture proposals. Inslees 38-page document is focused on creating jobs. It outlines a $9tn investment over 10 years and seeks to create 8m jobs aimed at decarbonizing the economy. In an earlier plan, he vowed to make the US carbon neutral by 2045. Inslee wants to upgrade buildings, replace water and transit infrastructure, clean up manufacturing and quintuple spending on clean energy and climate research. Many of those efforts would require congressional legislation.

He calls it “investment”. I call it a slush fund for cronies, just like Obama’s $1T union bailout plan. No jobs. No infrastructure improvements. Just cash flow. OTOH, that certainly made the management of the effort pretty easy..... /sarc

No democrat associated with the State of Washington should ever be let near the Federal Government. Much less the Government of the State, but that would be up to the insane voters of his insane State.

On another note, headlines read Inslee running as devil for the position of God.

By all means, lets throw away the carbon based economy. Its only responsible for our modern way of life and all that surrounds us.
Liberals are insane.

quintuple spending on clean energy and climate research Why spend more money on research when, after all, "the science is settled"?

It’d be great, if climate change weren’t a popular fiction.

Tell ya what Inslee, why don't you put your plan into action in your state and show us well it works, and I'm sure it will work outstandingly to drive up the cost of utilities and rents and lower the standard of living for your constituents. Oh yeah, it will also drive out those pesky employers and employees causing such pain to Mother Gaia in Washington State.
