People need to learn self control. People who won't learn self control need to be separated from society either for a specified period of time, or permanently.
And Ms. Cadesha will be separated from society for a specified period of time, but in the meantime, the cost has been too high, and we have lost Serge Fournier. So, sometimes when I look at Cadesha's co-tribalists, I wonder: Ought we as a society separate them from society earlier?

It is horrible as she deliberately shoves him off the bus, he can’t catch himself, falls on his face, hitting his head on the pavement.
This was a vicious, deliberate act, murder.

The sticking point in this definition of second degree murder is:
"...which death of the victim was a distinct possibility."
Seemed to me a bit of a fluke that he died. I mean it was viscous and irresponsible and nasty shove, but I would not expect it to have been fatal. Not sure if it rises to what ever "distinct possibility" is here.
