I personally detest the Boston accent.

For a Yankee, that accent from a woman is like a hot knife going through butter.

New England accents are the very definition of snobbish liberalism.
They can go to hell.

The Southern accent when spoken by people that use proper grammar is beautiful. I’m partial I guess but I think it’s relaxing. When we took our trip across the country a few years ago the thing I missed the most were the sound of people that talk like me. LOL

We moved to Tennessee when we fled California. I find the accent quite pleasant.

If Boston’s accent is so attractive, why don’t any Boston enemediot newsreaders have one?

    'Boston's is not a accent.
It is a slang similar to ebonics.
I was up there two years and found a way to make the most die hard southie speak perfect English.
I have offended MA FReepers with this.

The beautiful and sophisticated Pittsburgh accent was rated low. So here’s my message to the survey people: “Ats stupid. Yinz guys are a buncha jag offs.”

Feh. A boston accent is a minus 1 or 2. Oral was invented so as to not hear the Boston accent.
