The Southern accent when spoken by people that use proper grammar is beautiful. I’m partial I guess but I think it’s relaxing. When we took our trip across the country a few years ago the thing I missed the most were the sound of people that talk like me. LOL
Rural NC accents are just awful. TN accents are def more pleasant.
Texas accents are not annoying too. They
‘Pill’ oranges ( not peel) and they their medication is in ‘peel’ form (not pill).
I am disappointed that we don’t hear more of our accents on television and in movies. Seems that often, when they are, they’re relegated to Boss Hogg types.
Though it’s not well known or widely spoken, people LOVE the Savannah accent.
