Actress and former model Peggy Lipton, who rose to stardom in the late 1960s on the counterculture police series “The Mod Squad” and later starred on TV’s “Twin Peaks,” has died.
Her death from cancer was announced Saturday by Kidada and Rashida Jones, her daughters from a marriage to famed music producer Quincy Jones.
“She made her journey peacefully with her daughters and nieces by her side,” Lipton’s daughters said in a statement to The Times. “We feel so lucky for every moment we spent with her.”
Born in New York on Aug. 30, 1946, Lipton began modeling at age 15 and quickly found herself in demand. At age 19, she made her television debut on the sitcom “The John Forsythe Show,” going on to make appearances on such series as “Bewitched,” “The Alfred Hitchcock Hour” and “The Virginian.”

A sequel to Twin Peaks: The Return gets more difficult. It was incredible how many participants died during the making. Her story kind of wrapped up, but she was still a big part of the town.

I never missed an episode.
I watch the “Decades” Channel. It’s Channel 5.3 on my converter box.
They sometimes have a weekend binge of The Mod Squad. This weekend their Weekend Binge is The Untouchables.
When they have a weekend binge it starts at 1:00 PM on Saturday and goes nonstop until 7 AM Monday morning.
“Decades” is currently airing every episode of “Twin Peaks” on weekday nights (or should I say mornings) from 12:30 AM to 1:30 AM. I’ve been watching everyone of those episodes...I’m a night owl....and Peggy Lipton plays the owner/waitress of a restaurant. I noticed that she was still a beauty many years after The Mod Squad.
Clarence Williams III....aka Lincoln Hayes on The Mod Squad....is on a number of episodes of Twin Peaks playing an FBI investigator.

But Angie Tribeca just got cancelled. She was great in a female police Squad type show.
It aired before I was born.
ME-TV ran Mod Squad and I liked it despite the camp factor.
I even have the boxed set of DVDs around.
Jump Street was decent TV.
I have never watched or even thought of Angie Tribeca and checked into it.
Parody and satire are my types of comedy, so I will try to remember to watch some.
Hopefully, like Steve McQueen, she find Him!
Her daughters are beautiful.
