OK, so I buy a little v_____ every once in a while off the internet. Maybe once a year. I start looking again and it seems every site has stopped taking credit cards and now accepts bitcoin or other complicated venus like western union or the like.
Bitcoin, talk about complicated. Ever since it came into existance I likened it to buying a bit of air. Literally, not figuratively. But does somebody have experience in doing transactions using bitcoin? I poked around and it seems like you have to create an account on this bitcoin site and then buy some bitcoin and then to pay somebody you create a transaction using that somebodies 200 character hashtag. No, its not quite 200 characters. And as an aside I have a story about these/those hashtags. Let me find it again. Oh, and I might surmise that this bitcoin website charges for each/any/all transaction? Buying the bitcoin and then using it to buy something? Wonder how much that is?

Take it out in trade.
Yeah, I think I’ve tracked down the sites that involve bitcoin. Just wonder what the costs might be? And how does the varying value of bitcoin work when your trying to buy something?
Take it out in trade.

Pardon my ignorance but I don’t have clue.

I’ve been hanging onto my bitcoin through the long decline. Now it’s gone up $2500 in the last two weeks. I’m going to hold on, who knows where it will go?
Its not that hard once you figure it out.
Try some of the Canadian pharmacies online. They take credit cards and PayPal. Check their dates of establishment before buying, but most are very legit.
If you buy $200 worth of Bitcoin, after your fees you will lose much of that if you use your wallet for purchases. Not to mention the volatility of the currency, which can devalue rapidly. Etherium seems less volatile, but not accepted as many places.
.
I’ve read and reread about the blockchain architecture that supports bitcoin and other business transactions. I think I’ll take a pass on bitcoin.
I got into computers before the public knew computers existed. Worked on operating systems for my whole career. But if asked today what I wanted to get into it would be the blockchain architecture. Buts its still kinda new and developing. And bitcoin uses it to do their transactions. I’m too old for something so new. :<(((
And on the other hand, quite a few places also offer discounts for using crypto in lieu of credit cards. I’ve seen a few at 20 to 30 percent range.
Virgin?
I fully agree that the underlying blockchain is the future of transactions, but it is being developed as a way for our enemies to circumvent our reserve currency status as well.
Having said that, I cant imagine when central government banks will begin using it. They love competition..... China is experimenting with it, because it gives them far more control. I dont know if we will ever change systems at the Federal level.
I will PM you and you can ask what you want. Its not that complicated. You should be able to buy that online a lot cheaper now. Drop the off shore stuffits generic now so it can be gotten inexpensive.
I thought it got harder once you figure it out?
