Prayers up. What a terrible thing to suffer.
One lesson parents need to teach. Don't throw gasoline on a fire site. Bad things happen.
Horrible, and to linger so long. Rest now.
I was wondering how such a tragedy could have happened, and your link had the answer. Someone poured gasoline on a fire.
I personally do that once in a while to get oil to light deadfall trees in a burn pit. It is very dangerous. If there is an existing flame or embers there will be a huge flare up that expands for both width and height. Being as close as 15 feet will singe hair. However I use a safer method than pouring.
Poor thing. I would have thought that if she made it for 1 1/2 years, she was long out of the woods. So sad.
May God welcome her into His loving arms.
I’m done here tonight, the screen is getting blurry.

Sweet kid. Prayers up for her family.

Horrible. May her reward be eternal bliss in Our Father’s Kingdom.

Prayers for her and her loved ones. May she rest, now.
A long (60 min) safety video by Charlie, severely burned, and his recovery.
At ~ 20 min he tells how he prayed for death.
A most compelling story:
This hard hitting video explores the life and the workplace injury of Charlie Morecraft, a refinery worker who nearly lost his life in a refinery explosion. Your employees will see how he went from refinery worker to keynote speaker in safety related issues. ... Charlie Morecraft
Good God. That poor girl. Well, she is unencumbered by her damaged body now.
Very, very sad. Throwing gasoline on a BBQ or a fire is such a common source of major injuries. People don’t realize that the fumes burst into flames immediately, or that the fire can travel right back up the stream (on the vapors) and turn the source into a bomb.
It doesn’t always happen, and in fact it probably doesn’t even happen most times when people do this, but it’s devastating when it does.
My uncle poured charcoal lighter fluid on a fire in a barbecue grill and the fire followed the stream of the fuel back into the can that was still in my uncle’s hand and severely burned his hand. Lesson is never pour a flammable liquid onto a fire.
I’ve been thinking of her for a while now and even unsuccessfully looked a few weeks ago for some updates.
This is horrible news.
RIP
Stories like this make me look back at all the truly stupid and dangerous things I did in my life and give heartfelt thanks to our Lord for protecting me from myself.
Prayers Up! for the soul of the young lady and for all her friends and family.
