ATLANTA (AP) — A Georgia woman is accused of fatally shooting a man who tried to leave the scene of a crash near Highway 85.
News outlets report 21-year-old Hannah Payne's lawyer argued in court Wednesday that the shooting was in self-defense. Payne's charged with murder without malice in the Tuesday death of 62-year-old Kenneth Herring.

She is in deep trouble.
Just call it a late term abortion.
That way murder is celebrated, not scorned.
A witness also said that Payne changed clothes before officers arrived. “She had a bad girl vest on, but after she shot him, she ran in the car, changed clothes, she put a pink little sweater on,” ...Witnesses say she quickly tried to blame the victim for firing the fatal bullet. “All of a sudden you hear a ‘Pow!’ and she got on her phone immediately and was like, ‘He pulled the trigger,’” witness Nicole Jackson said, according to the station.
“Murder without malice” eh? I suppose it would be much worse if she was malicious.....
She took upon herself to play the role of the police.
Well, will depend on what exactly went down after she blocked his path...
If he was physically attacking/threatening her at that time, its not so clear cut as murder.
No she should not have chased him down and blocked him... that was stupid... but at least from what’s in that story, there is ZERO information on what exactly happened at the point she shot. If he was attacking or charging her after she blocked him, tried to run her over, etc etc etc... then she would have just grounds for self defense.
Headline seems to imply she shot him simply for fleeing, but that isn’t what the story implicates.
Too many unknowns in what was printed.

There is no wrath like that of a woman scorned.
If leaving the scene of an accident is a felony in Georgia, her defense just might have a chance.
I predict the murder charge will be reduced to manslaughter.
With many police not doing their sworn duty lately, someone has to.
That makes it even worse, doesn’t it?

Vigilantism once in awhile is good for us. Good for the cops too. No one will admit it. How many of u feel sorry for the victim?
Worse, she chased after the guy for about an hour. This is not a situation of “in the moment”, it becomes premeditated when you chase someone, block them in at an intersection, leave your vehicle, and try to “arrest” someone in another vehicle and you were NOT involved in the original event. Yup the guy was wrong but getting killed for a traffic accident is not just. She may get charged with manslaughter which seems like it fit for this crime.
What a waste. Hey lady, cops do not give a fug if someone hits your car or anyone else’s either. It’s not like he ran someone over and was escaping. Book her Dano.
