In a word: Yes.
They were probably written overwhelmingly by young white men.
For cases on how to treat gunshot wounds, maybe they should use black folks?
Rhiannon Parker, likely a professional pouter, always unhappy and certainly with a lot of time on her hands.
I suspect if they showed black gunshot victims, then they would be charged with racism for perpetuating a cruel stereotype against blacks.
You just can’t win with these people.
A racist is someone who is obsessed with race and makes everything about race.
I wonder who that could be?
Bodies donated for study were probably overwhelmingly males too.
They must because honestly, I. DON’T. CARE.
Make it stop
I suspect if the books focused on young women, sales would necessarily skyrocket....
Dead young white men. I thought that was a good thing?
Unless they’re photos of STDs. Hard to find white photos of those.
Polticization of...
weather
crayons (”flesh” color)
med texts
movies
comic magazines
The list is endless and disgusting
I remember seeing an anatomy book about forty years ago in which the female pictures looked like they were from a porno magazine.
Then another older book in which the anatomical representations were extremely well done, but were from Germany around 1938. Swastikas were removed for USA publication.
Man, if you think this is a problem, you don’t have any problems.
Wonder if they would get all upset looking at Leonardo da Vinci’s books on anatomy.
It was published in 1858.
Most likely bodies dug up in years prior to publishing.
Digging up female bodies might have called for unwanted LE attention.
Grey’s Anatomy isn’t the only medical textbook out there. Pick up a copy of one specializing in infectious diseases or parasitic infections and you’ll see a much wider racial spectrum of ‘patients’ taken from the real world. Grey’s was written when the actors came from London morgues and graverobbers.
I just figured they wouldn’t use black guys, because they’d never get “it” to fit onto just one page.
