Marvel fans, what are your 3 favorite and 3 least favorite marvel movies?

Posted on 05/07/2019 9:28:03 PM PDT by MNDude

Vox recently rated the 22 marvel movies 1 to 22. They put Black Panther as the best (although that is my least favorite).

Don't know why they didn't include Xmen. Those would be among my first.

So, what would put as your top and bottom 3?

I hope the entire studio goes bankrupt.

I generally echo your sentiments.

I left Thor (I) out of my top three for one reason:

The fight with the Destroyer was anti-climactic and perfunctory. It should have lasted another ten minutes and been the centerpiece of the movie.

Long ago (mid 60s), I was a young boy waiting for my mother in Stanford Hospital, where she was a volunteer. I had just bought the Thor Annual (more pages) with my meager earnings. It was the fight between Thor and the Destroyer. He/It had the power to kill Thor, and actually damaged Mjolnir.

In the movie, once Thor regained his godhood, he made short work of the dreaded android.

(It came out years later that Odin created the Destroyer to protect Midgard/Earth from the Celestials, beings more powerful than Thanos.)

Iron Man is still my favorite. Black Panther was meh. Ant Man was surprisingly great. I guess my top 3 would be Iron Man, Thor and Captain America. Good storylines, perfect casting, great action, well timed humor ... just all around entertaining.

I’m a fan of Agents of SHIELD, so the fall of Hydra is real big on my list.

Best:
1. Captain America Winter Soldier
2. Guardians of the Galaxy 1
3. Thor Ragnarok

Worst:
1. Avengers Age of Ultron
2. Ironman 2
3. Thor 2

Black Panther got the full-on Affirmative action treatment, with all over-the-top adulation it received. It was not even close to being great, in any aspect. Even the special effects weren’t very good.

I rate both Deadpool movies high as well as the first Guardians. Daredevil, Electra, and the last Fantastic Four were real stinkers.

The dialogue for Black Panther was God awful. “They are using guns. How primitive”

I think Iron Man 3 was the worst. I can still enjoy 2.

Favorite:
Doctor Strange
Deadpool
Guardians of the Galaxy
Ant-Man, Ant-Man & the Wasp

Least favorite
Black panther (if I wanted to watch leftists racism I’d just watch CNN)
Infinity War (There’s just something so wrong about all the good guys dying)
Hulk (The cuts from scene to scene were annoying to the point of destroying the story line)

Most of the movies were pretty good and I’d watch them again.

I haven’t seen Ms Marvel yet. Sure hope they do a Captain Marvel movie some day.

Tough question. I can say that I haven't seen and probably won't see Black Panther. I've had a real dislike for Iron Man's arrogance. I didn't even know the fantastic 4 counted but that's another one I won't watch.

I like the Captain America Character, Thor and the Hulk but not the Hulk movie.

PS: I was furious at the first meeting between the Hulk and Thanos. That fight was nonsense. When Thor Hammered the Hulk he flew through steel walls. So how in the world does a simple body slam from 12 feet in the air knock him out.

The whole reason for that was Hulk winning would have ruined the whole plot so they pretty much wrote him out.
