Pete Buttigieg said in an interview broadcast Tuesday that he and his husband Chasten want to be fathers one day – but 'maybe' he'll have to finish his historic run for president first.
And he told a 'Today' show audience that he plans to keep emphasizing his religious faith in the face of hecklers who berate him for being a gay Christian.
The 37-year-old Democrat takes the almighty seriously, and claimed that while God isn't likely a partisan, he would never be a Republican in the mold of Donald Trump.
He said it's 'important that we stop seeing religion used as a kind of cudgel, as if God belonged to a political party.'
'And if he did, I can't imagine it would be the one that sent the current president into the White House.'

Pointed this out to some liberal friends from Beaverton, OR. South Bend, Indiana has a smaller population than they do. This would be like the mayor of Beaverton running for the presidency. Absurd.

LOL. Poor “Mayor Pete.” He is creating a niche and getting press as the gay guy who slams Christians and somehow has the authority, in liberal minds, to opine on religion. But ironically it is making him much less of a mainstream, electable candidate. He’s like a circus monkey — pull him out and put him on the stage when you want a quote slamming Christians or talking about how gays are people too.
I don’t judge him for his homosexuality. That’s between him and God, not me. I don’t like to see it held up as some sort of virtuous lifestyle, because it’s dangerous and unhealthy. I’m sick of hearing him blabber on about it.

Pete takes his semi-mighty god seriously, the one that tells him to do whatever feels good; the one that does not judge sin; the one that hates Old Testament morality. Pete likes his god a lot. Pete does not like the God who hates homosexuality and abortion and promiscuity.
Pete’s god is found in the Bible. He is the one who tempts Eve in the Garden and Christ in the wilderness. Pete is a disciple of the god of temptation. He reaps the earthly rewards of succumbing to lust. He will worship his god, Satan, until Trump’s God, the Creator, crushes Pete’s master at the end of time.
Pete will not be with us in eternity unless he repents of his sinful ways and accepts Christ as his personal savior.
Pray for Pete.

That would be worth $100 to me to see that.
There are millions of people who call themselves Christians, who preach an entirely different gospel than the real one. It’s all “the love message” , which throws out 3/4 of the Bible and goes for the “a loving God would never send anyone to hell”, instead of, like a loving parent (only perfect), God wants you to enter the Strait Gate, because the wide gate, leads you into the road to destruction. And no good parent wants THAT road for his children.
I’m fully convinced that open, self-affirming homosexuals are among those referred to in 2 Timothy 3:1-5:

You don’t turn away from those who have hope. A reprobate mind is past redeeming.
