11. The Twilight Zone - Episode: To Serve Man
12. The Joe Biden Show- Let Them Eat Some Jim Crow.
I agree with the Lucy does a commercial but my all time favorite tv show episode is the Turkey Story, WKRP. “As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.”
WKRP Thanksgiving episode “Turkeys away” only made 40....sigh....
CPR training on the office
Funniest ever
I’ve always liked “The Rifleman: The Sheridan Story”.
...When KITT met KATT?
The Simpson’s - ‘The Three-Eyed Fish’ is hysterical and a great inside dig at Mike Dukakis
Looking at that list:
#29 Wonder Years one is one I remember well. That show was terrific.
#65 -Northern Exposure - they took the wrong episode, the one where Maggie’s boyfriend is killed by a falling satellite is amazing.
Yet missing from this entire list is Who Shot JR? How is that possible?
A Speed Racer episode made the top 100?
This whole thing must be a joke.
I can’t understand why there are no episodes of My Mother the Car on the list...
8 of the top ten were must watch in my home at that time. Have to check out the entire list!
Thanks!
WKRP in Cincinnati - the Turkey Drop. “As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!”
Has TV guide watched TV in the past twenty years? There has to be something that was OK. Can’t think of it off the top of my head—but there must be SOMETHING.
I don’t think the “The Parking Garage” (one of two Seinfeld choices) was even in the top 30 of my favorite Seinfeld episodes. I forget which of the 1950’s horror shows (The Twilight Zone, etc.) it was on, but “The Hitchhiker” episode was my all-time favorite in that genre. A young woman driving from New York to California keeps seeing the same old man hitchhiking all the way across the country.
And then I see that this is from the first 50 years of TV. So, there is the answer to my question.
Mork and Mindy made the list but not a single episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer - which is on virtually every list as one of the greatest tv shows ever...now I know this is bogus.
Three Buffy Episodes in no particular order:
The Body
Hush
Once More with Feeling
My favorite STar Trek TOS is The Changeling- impeccable logic. Even Spock is impressed!
1. The Jack Benny Show and the Bob Hope Show. Tied
2. The Groucho Marxs Show:
Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.
Outside of a dog, a book is a man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.
I must say I find television very educational. The minute somebody turns it on, I go to the library and read a good book.
3. The Honeymooners
4 I Remember Mama:
I remember the big white house on Steiner Street, and my little sister Dagmar, and my big brother Nels, and Papa. But most of all, I remember Mama. Mostly broadcast live; only 13 shows were taped.
All the rest on the list are also-rans
