Excellent post! Very informative.
I wonder how much of the lower death toll is due to better body armor and/or medical care.
Let’s see the stats on attacks/shootings before we decide on whether or not rates are up.
Dang it !!! Our landlord just jacked Us up from $650.00 on 01/01.
If We could afford and I could physically do it We would move but it’s tough to find a place that would allow the Girls (1 Deaf Boxer, 1 Canne Corso Italian Mastiff) who are spoiled rotten..
The biggest change may very well be the internet and the 24 hour news cycle. Would Walter Cronkite have reported on a police officer getting killed in Podunk, America in the 70s? Yes, it would have local news, but national? Perspective is everything when it comes to the news.

Hat's off to this officer and condolences to family & friends..

Do you have real data to post regarding two generations of births to 9- and 10-year-old girls?
I brought that up as a complicating factor. However, I think the fact that we are looking at raw numbers rather than population-adjusted rates probably counteracts the statistical effect of higher survival rates.
It's probably impossible to get the numbers that allow us to determine whether "intentional attacks on LEOs as LEOs" are increasing or decreasing. That would have to exclude all accidents/illness and all attacks that were personal or random, rather than professional and targeted, while including attacks, including vehicular attacks, that did not result in death or significant injury.
Presser now set for 10:00AM.
Too many officers have been murdered .,.. May the murdering perps have hell beyond Gods ability to bestowe
Rest in peace my police brother, you’ve finished you final tour.
Women who had a man in the house were denied aid. Thus, the law forced any men in the house out denying children, particularly male children, a father figure.
+1
More and more people love what is bad and behave exactly that way.
That is very interesting.
I had to change browsers. I rehosted it in case others have the same problem.
The statistics appear to be absolute rather than per capita, so that means officer deaths are way down compared to past years.
It's worth noting that traffic accidents kill about as many officers as guns.
Officer Jordan Harris Sheldon: May God receive his soul.
The Fraud encouraged this by sympathizing with cop-killers and supporting our domestic enemies. Plus: Racism, BLM, etc.
