Good kitty story. Sad about the kids.

Wonderful.
"Family finally found me? Eh, ok, whatever"........
Can’t blame it for being a little miffed.
Proving cats can more easily adapt in the wild than children.
Ah, so someone finally tried calling it in by opening the window and turning on the can opener...
Cat: “Bad servant! What took you so long?”
We had a giant black stray cat that was one of about a dozen an old man who lived down the street was putting food out for. He was constantly getting into our garage and marking everything. I finally caught him with a trap and transported him to another neighborhood that was almost 10 miles away and on the other side of a divided highway.
The next morning he was back sitting in front of our garage and growling and hissing at me. So I gave up, but not too long afterwards some coyotes moved into our neighborhood and ate all the stray cats. After they left we had an explosion of rats and mice getting into everything.
Dat cat warn’t missin’. It knowt whar it whar all the time.
After they left we had an explosion of rats and mice getting into everything.

Not that unusual. Change the environment and different inhabitants show up.
“After they left we had an explosion of rats and mice getting into everything.”
That is what is going to happen in Australia after they succeed in poisoning all the stray cats.
Nothing brings my cat faster than food hitting the bowl.
And who knows what will happen to the predators who eat the poisoned cats. They’re going to screw up their whole eco-system.
“but not too long afterwards some coyotes moved into our neighborhood and ate all the stray cats”
Out east it was foxes. And the old saying was if a fox moves in your neighborhood the first thing to go are the rabbits in the cats.
Nowadays I guess coyotes can be included in that statement, but where I live I’ve only seen two coyotes in the last decade but I reckon they are around. I saw an emu running around about 10 years ago too.
Lookout! Toonces was seen crawling out of the Pet Semetary!
Cats know where they live.
Cats, rats, mice...if it’s not a marsupial. it’s not indigenous, anyway. The environment will just seek a different balance.
