Alright, that’s it! I can’t take it anymore. The Game of Thrones hype has gone too far when the Red Cross is camping out in local churches and offering commemorative posters to its congregants for donating blood. Seriously? Come on, people. Game of Thrones isn’t even thinly veiled porn, it’s just porn. Full stop.
Stop telling me how good the story is; you sound dumber than those guys who claim to read Playboy for the articles. Just admit what everyone knows: Game of Thrones is porn and you like it. I have no idea how anyone watches this show with their significant other without complete and total embarrassment. I tried watching the first season and called it quits during a midget orgy.

I watched the first season and part of the second and gave up on it. Yes in the beginning there was a lot of Sex.
What I would like to know is this, and ladies please chime in if you like, I have noticed the trend in the last several years where the sex scenes have changed from the missionary position to the from behind position. Any comment on this?
They had a lot of that in the early GOT seasons.

Neither did the producers of GOT, hence all the porn and nude scenes.
It’s kind of like Titanic: Though it didn’t ‘need’ nudity to get the women into the theatre because of the scale of the even being depicted, it DID require that nudity to get the male audience into the theatre to get that share of market.
Sex in general sells. Porn, specifically, REALLY SELLS.
Men and some women just cannot manage to be honest enough to admit they watch or read something for the sex/porn.
Correct. I really don't like it when they show this stuff; mostly 'cause it gets in the way of the story, doesn't add anything to the story, and, it is boring.
That being said, I always DVR shows that hubby and I watch the next day; and, if there is anything we find objectionable, we FF past it.

It is NOT a "porn series". It has some graphic sex scenes in it, bad language and violence. It is an adult series. There are sex scenes; but, they are NOT the majority of the series.
There is an interesting story, with interesting characters that you get attached to. It has twists and turns. No character is safe in this show, which adds an edge to it.
There are sexual scenes in this show; but, it is not the whole series.

Personally, I don’t watch any...ANY “modern movies” and fortunately can’t confirm your observations. No HBO, etc in the house.
For the grandkids OpenDNS works pretty well although I can’t control what happens away from home. I don’t allow cell phones until high school graduation is within sight! Take that permissive parents!

We have hundreds of new movies available to us thanks to Netflix (free to us) and Amazon Prime (also free). Ever since we started using them to watch new movies we’ve experienced a new phenomenon: We find ourselves getting ten to 15 minutes into a movie and just turning it off. We never used to do that.

I don't see any characters in GoT celebrating the incestuous relationship between Cersei and Jaime. In fact, I see in other characters the very disdain you describe.
If I'm not mistaken, other than Craster's incest with his daughters, which is also shown disdain by other characters, there is no other incest-based relationships in the show.
How is this normalization?
