The Cincinnati-based maker of Gillette razors and Braun electric shavers (NYSE: PG) reported net sales of $1.4 billion for the Grooming business in the recently ended third quarter, down 8 percent from last year.

I have a beard but I shave every day (almost) and I love the Gillette vibrating razor, Do any of the other alternatives have that feature?
I’ve been using Harry’s for years. I hope that they don’t go Woke.
Gillette blades are good quality but they are not superior quality like some claim. All the name brands are just as good.
Now some may get illegal knock offs of other brands which are sub quality but that is true of any brand.
I don’t think Schick makes them. More likely, Huangwei.
Gillette definitely makes the best shaving products and I will continue buying their stuff.
I bought a Merkur safety razor ~5 years ago for the price of a single pack or Gillette fusion blades from Costco. I buy 100pack Personna blades online for ~$20.00. It costs me ~$10.00 per year to shave....including soap if I change by blade every two weeks!
FWIW: You can buy a “Bump Fighter” razor for $8 on Amazon. That is the reusable handle style, not the disposable type. The razor handle is great and fits Gillette Trac 2 cartridges.
Of course, Gillette’s copyright is gone, so you can then buy “100 Personna Twin 2 ( TWIN II ) Razor blades - Compatible with Gillette’s Trac 2 Razor system” for under $20. I got them once for $10 & have seen them on Amazon for $15...but definitely under $20 for 100. 20 cents each or less.
I never tried the 5 bladed Gillettes, but the Trac 2 does me as well as the Mach 3 ever did.
I also like the Double Edge razors. The Merkur open comb metal one runs under $35, and DE blades run 10 cents each.
Dollar Shave razors are the same as Dorco razors...
Thanks, I moved from Gillette to Dollar Shave Club after the be a girly man ad.
Also: When shaving with a DE razor, I just use cheap shaving cream. No special brushes. No scented soaps. Just no name shaving cream. Works fine.
If you want to use a soap, I recommend Ivory. Works fine. Cheap. Cleans your hands, too.
Harry’s is trying to out-woke gillette. Just as lib
That’s the way I have approached this. I still have Gillette products I bought before they went on their hate me campaign. I will use the products, but after that, I will switch. I will be part of their continuing downturn in sales and profit.
Bic has cranked-up their advertising on local radio.
They know an opportunity when they see one.
+1. A simple, old-school combo that gives surprisingly good results. Williams is available on Amazon.
Harry's is woke. I switched to Dorco.
From NRO Online article:
If you want to see the difference between a rather awkward attack on truly toxic masculinity and a frontal assault on actual masculine virtue, then look no farther than this 2017 Twitter ad from Harrys (Update: It appears Harrys deleted the tweet):
Today is International Mens Day. Believe it or not, thats a thing.
Now more than ever, being a man demands introspection, humility, and optimism. To get to a better tomorrow, we need to take a look at today, and at the misguided stereotypes that got us here in the first place. pic.twitter.com/1lViZqWbIx

Watch the whole thing. It takes masculine aspirational statements like be tough, be a rock, be a man, and be the breadwinner and crosses them out. Its so over-the-top that its almost like a parody of modern woke attacks on masculinity. Whereas the Gillettes message is, Bad things are bad, Harrys message is, Good things are bad.

If anyone is looking for a quality alternative to Gillette, I’ve been getting quite good results with a Van der Hagen safety razor.
Can’t believe it took as long as it did for me to switch to a safety razor - it is SO much more comfortable and easy to control and made shaving rash a thing of the past.
I haven’t bought anything Gillette, since they attacked my character and my religion and my nation.
I know Ill never buy a Gillette product again.
I’m not paying that much for it. I have enough cream to last me a while. And you can re-use the lather (squeeze it from your brush into your soap container)
Get woke, go broke.
We’re not going to put up with your crap.
These razor blades are great. Ignore the negative comments.
Blades last a long time; at least one month. One of the things I like is that the blades aren’t so close together that hair gets stuck in between them.
