Xyler?
I think it is a non-binary transgender storm.

What’s wrong with Xavier? Xyler is weird. Or did Xavier get used once and we’ve come full circle?

The weather here in north central Ohio has been too cold and wet. There is zero farming activity here,in a normal year most of the corn would be planted by now.Rained again tonight, the soil is saturated.

When do you get worried? Here in northern Illinois there is plenty of rain in the 2 week forecast and no 70 degree days.
To: Karl Spooner
I’m worried now.The ground is so wet and the rain just keeps coming.Way too cool here too.It would take maybe 2 weeks of dry weather to get out in the fields.

And when it was in the 70’s here last week, nobody said *boo*.
It’s spring.
I’m just glad it’s not a dump two feet of snow on us nor’easter this weekend, as we’ve had in the past.

It’s been snowing all morning east of Rochester. If the ground was colder we would be covered by now.

They’re saying it’s going to be a wet, heavy snow. Might break the blooms off. Now my cherry tree is blooming, and I might not get cherries now.

Theyre saying its going to be a wet, heavy snow. Might break the blooms off. Now my cherry tree is blooming, and I might not get cherries now. That is sad and will wreak havoc with the food supply. Hope it will not be nearly as bad as predicted.

I've been here long enough now (Northern OH) to know that frosts aren't unusual, up until Mother's Day. And that no two springs are the same. And that the breeze off Lake Erie is unpleasant until the lake warms up a bit.
There've actually be quite a few days good for walking in April. But, yeah, the ground is saturated and things are blooming slowly.
How soon does the ground have to improve so it doesn't have a really bad impact on your growing season?

I don’t think I would mind being a farmer, but being at the mercy of the weather all the time would be something I could not handle. You guys were created special.
37 degrees here and rain all day today. Never even made it to 40.
May the Lord intervene!
