To celebrate a “Decade of Dialogue” in its annual diversity conference, Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts & Sciences invited a straight white man to give the keynote lecture.
But not just any straight white man.
Tim Wise, an “anti-racism writer, educator and activist,” has denigrated Christians as “Jeezoids” and fascists and called Pope Francis evil. He has tweeted that “people who believe in a God of hell/damnation deserve to be mocked viciously and run out of the public square.”
Those who base their morality on the Hebrew Scriptures “deserve to be locked up,” he said in 2015, claiming to be “sorta kidding but not by much.”

Uhhhhh, aren’t Jews also believers in Hebrew Scriptures? Seems to me somebody deployed that lock-em-up strategy back in the 1930s and 40s.
Most of the older institutions of education in new england started in the 1600’s and were owned, operated by the congregational church. The mission of education was to create the next generation of preachers. Same as for the Romanists. The first universities in EU were from the monasteries. Secular education was blasphemy. How times have changed.
“How do they find such nuts?” Since the 1970s, academia and the main stream media and pop culture have been sowing the seeds that have produced the nutters. The question is: can we survive for another generation or two before the American experiment is rendered over and done... I worry for my kids and grandkids.

The Left (Progressives) have one moral compass:
Does the action advance their agenda?
Have to kill a few million Jews or Kulaks? Does it advance the Agenda of the left?
In both Hitler's and Stalin's cases, the answer was yes, so they did it. (Yes, Hitler was a leftist). It is one of the big lies of today's left to define Hitler as a person of the Right.
Without any absolute right or wrong, the answer always comes down to whatever the ruling party/person thinks is necessary to keep their power.
A great many of the Left's victims are fellow Leftists who they view as a threat to their power.
As a side note to this thread, consider this. Just as so-called “climate change” replaced “global warming,” “diversity” must likewise be a politically correct replacement for “affirmative action.”
