Ex-Minnesota policeman says he shot Australian woman to protect partner

An ex-Minnesota policeman on trial for murder said on Thursday that he opened fire on an Australian woman who approached his car to protect his partner who was struggling to get his gun.

Mohamed Noor, 33, is charged in the murder of 40-year-old Justine Ruszczyk Damond, whom he shot through his patrol car window during the night of July 15, 2017 in a dark alley while responding to her 911 call to report a possible sexual assault near her Minneapolis home.

Noor testified in a Minneapolis courtroom that he shot Damond after he and his partner Matthew Harrity, who was in the driver's seat, heard a loud noise. Harrity had trouble removing his gun from its holster and "he turned to me with fear in his eyes," Noor said during his five-hour testimony.

Either this moslem has an extra long arm or he was sitting in the driver’s lap...

“PAST the steering wheel” ?????? in other words way left of where the passenger would normally sit ???

if he had to put his arm up to so call “protect him” from the weapon...and he was able to have his right hand with the gun left of the steering wheel...just where was the driver ??? half way out the drivers door ??? was the door open and he was getting out ...ah maybe to talk to Justine ???

OK I just went and sat in my sedan to test my theory...

I have a Buick Regal and I’m 5’ 2” sitting normally in the passengers seat I could turn my left arm and place that hand in front of the center of the drivers seat...

BUT with my right hand also extended towards the drivers window I still had about 6 inches short to the RIGHT of the steering wheel if I had a gun in my hand...no way I could reach way left PAST the steering wheel unless I was right near the window...

Which would mean he didn’t shoot past his partner but leaned past his partner...

Which means he was close enough to the window that he saw Justine and knew she was not a threat...

Anyone care to cross examine ???
