Phase II of the Marvel comic book cinematic universe is going to involve a few less of our classic superheros in favor of a bold new array of diverse and inclusive characters. Yes, Marvels going a lot more ethnic, and a lot more gay because whats cooler than finding out that your new favorite Avenger enjoys his skintight latex suit for far more than just crime-fighting purposes?

“Havent read anything about having one who is a devout Christian.”
Well, the closest in the movies is Captain America, who is from another era when most everyone in the country was Christian. They don’t do much with it, but at least in the first Avengers they gave him that one line where he says “There’s only one God, ma’am, and he doesn’t dress like that”, about Thor.
The other Marvel Studios property that actually does “flirt” with Christianity is Daredevil on Netflix. Matt Murdock is more of a lapsed Christian, but he was raised in a Catholic orphanage, his mom is a nun, one of his only real friends is a priest, and his struggle with his faith is a recurring theme throughout the series, even if it isn’t the main focus of the show.
How long until one of the “Heroe- s” is a pedophile?
Nightcrawler, one of the X-Men, is a devout Roman Catholic in the comics. I don’t know how much that aspect has been explored in the films as I gave up on X-Movies long ago.
i am not into these movies. i saw Iron Man when it first came out, and enjoyed it...but the whole Marvel Universe has turned into a soap opera with capes.
Guardians of the Galaxy is fun, and the Captain America was decent... yet the whole “cult” built around these flicks seems to show how illiterate we have become as a culture.
Seriously. I mean, I wasn’t a “Harry Potter” fan, but at least THOSE films were based on written material—books that had MEAT on the bones. This stuff, while THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE (not slamming it per se) is based on COMIC BOOKS.
I have guilty pleasures, too, so don’t get me wrong. My point is this Marvel junk (Warner Brothers has their own set of lunacy) is driving too many lives...some people obsess about it.
Yet we remain (as a society) completely ignorant of great literature like Pilgrim’s Progress, Uncle Tom’s Cabin, The Brothers Karamazov, Tom Sawyer, or, well, any fine bit of story telling that goes deeper than fireballs in the sky and smirky retorts to bad guys.
Not good.
Get woke, go broke.

Combined PING! and DANG!
Yeah, but the Gomer Pyle wasn't gay, that's the difference.
Comments on Youtube trailers say “this is the best year for movies EVER”
FatMan
Just don’t cast Lena Dunham.
On TV’s Luke Cage Power Man they show him anally entering his white girlfriend.
The directors already are
If Marvel ever does a live version remake of “Tripping the Rift” Lena Dunham can play T’Nuk Layor!

Marvel Comics always were soap opera. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby had done time working on romance comics.
The long drama of Aunt May’s health. The hardships of dating while you are a superhero and The Green Goblin killing your girlfriend.
Isn’t that the new Gillette Razor Woman? Now that would be a new Superhero, Razor Woman. LOL
I have Mystery Men on DVD, it’s hysterical lol.
The only other heroes I remember as being Christian were Nightcrawler and Firebird (who even wore her cross outside of her costume). But only Nightcrawler would be considered A or B list.
Squiggles on paper can’t be gay. The left has a hard time separating reality and fiction.
I sincerely hope that the fat character will be complemented by one of those skeletal, “heroin-chic” gals. After all, body positivity should apply to all types.
