DES MOINES, Iowa (KCCI) A former campaign manager for an Iowa congressional candidate faces several charges after he admitted to faking signatures on petition documents last year.
Noah Wasserman, 27, was booked into the Polk County Jail on Tuesday afternoon but has since been released, according to online jail records.
Wasserman tried to get Theresa Greenfield, a Democratic candidate for Iowas 3rd Congressional District race, on the ballot by forging some signatures. Greenfield said she fired Wasserman after the incident, though she didnt immediately release his name.
He has been charged with one count of first-degree election misconduct and 13 counts of tampering with records.
Wasserman took out a full-page ad in the Des Moines Register earlier this month to apologize for his actions, saying he made a mistake that impacted your lives.

Thanks simpson96. Had it been a Republican, it would have said so in the headline.
We Conservatives assume an even playing field for voting.
The Democrats will do anything to win.
Is an elected government job so good that the Democrats will do anything to get it?
Wasserman....sounds familiar.
Only if power over you comes with it.
What is going on Iowa???? Some long time GOPe idiot decided to switch parties...,,blamed Trump no less
Meh...
The guy who switched is a transplant from New York and uberRINO in a party that’s gradually becoming more conservative.
