Interesting. The paywall killer reset the number of free articles I could read on NYT to five, getting around the paywell that initially blocked me.

For paywalls, outline.com sometimes works, and you don’t need to install anything. I’m not so sure I would trust plugins like these without reviewing the code. But outline.com runs on outline’s server, not your computer.

Works for FT too. Used to work for the WSJ too until last week they went to a hard paywall from soft.

The FormHacker is a cool tool too!

What can you do with it?

• You can show a hidden password.
• You can remove maxlength - so if you can't fit your entire address or something in a field, you click that!
• You can change text - so if you are required to check a box to agree to something, you can change that text!
• UnRequire - Suppose you are required to fill in a field but you don't want to.... such as desired salary? Just click and it's not required.
• UnRadio - yes, it deselects all radio buttons - even mandatory ones!
• UnHide shows hidden fields and info being sent without your knowledge
• Post2Get shows what gets sent to the server

All of these are JavaScript, so it doesn't hack anyone's computer, it only modifies what has been done to yours.

Likewise, the FormHacker works only if they don't have server-side validation!
