Woman arrested in dumping of 7 newborn puppies into Coachella dumpster

Culwell is facing up to seven counts of felony animal cruelty, officials said. Her home contained roughly 30 dogs that needed to be impounded to make sure they were properly fed and cared for at a shelter in Thousand Palms, according to John Welsh of Riverside County Department of Animal Services.

The woman was seen stepping out of a white Jeep, peering into a dumpster used for recyclables, then dropping the bag filled with the puppies into a pile of trash behind Napa Auto Parts in Coachella Thursday before driving away.

A man who rummaged through the dumpster shortly afterward spotted the bag and took it to the store, an act officials say saved the puppies lives.

My child loses her mind over stories like this and PETA fuels the fire. I always have to remind her that PETA will protect “all” living creatures but will never save babies. “Cruelty” ends at the abortion clinic.

This is why I care more about dogs than I do for many many humans on this rock. A dog's loyalty and love for human affection/attention has always amazed me. The ability of sentient humans to hate and kill each other for the least reason also amazes me.

The love of our little doggie is the joy of our life. She's a rescue as was our previous who died of cancer and broke our hearts. And yes, I contribute to the ASPCA.

When I see their ads on TV and hear and read about the horrendous abuse some dogs endure, I would have no problem with the responsible human stop existing. Amazingly, once these abused dogs are found and medically treated and shown compassion, most revert back to their inherent friendly loving ways. They are truly man's best friend.
