This is the first vanity I have ever posted on FR.
Today, while my wife and I were at the grocery, we got stuck behind an obvious Middle Eastern "immigrant."
He ran up a bill of over $400 in baby formula, cheese, and all sorts of other things. I could see the items being rung up as he was doing this. And then I watched him produce one WIC voucher after another to pay for all of this, and I watched the cashier zero out one item after another. This process took more than 20 minutes, and held up everyone else in line. He even started sending the checkout people to the back of the store to get more stuff for him so he could use up all the WIC vouchers. At the end everything had been zeroed out except for $9.73. Then he whips out his VISA card and pays for that on his credit card.
Why do we tolerate this? We just paid for all of this stuff for this guy, who obviously was not hurting for money. So does he re-sell it or what does he do?
Who is the one who judges?

I’d say anyone with an i.q. in double digits would know that buying lobster with welfare money is prima facie evidence that one either doesn’t need the welfare money to begin with or doesn’t have the mental capacity to look after themselves. And yes, if you want my money I damn well get to ‘judge’ how it’s spent.

Reminds me of the movie “Joe” and Peter Boyle’s rant in the bar room. Expand beyond the demographic to which he is referring, and you will see that this has been going on for half a century.

The politicians I am referring to are on both sides of the aisle.
For example, for two years republicans have had plenty of time to deal with a whole host of issues and they took just about NO action on them at all.
At least the democraps admit they are whoring sobs.

Many of them have been caught running small grocery stores and stocking them using WIC and SNAP benefits. It is sick.
If he was Middle Eastern, he might have been shopping for his family, or even his extended family, and he might be buying up supplies because he works for a living and doesn't want to waste his time shopping frequently.
a lot of immigrant Muslim women are not educated and are fearful of shopping..
True, some husband object to their wives driving and shopping on their own, but some of this seems to be agorophobia, fear of crowds, since often you see them late at night at 24 hour Walmart shopping when there are no crowds.

You can judge all you want. But you can do nothing about it. Call your state reps and Congress critters. Bitching about it here is pretty much a waste of your time.
Lobster is a source of low fat protein. That is why they can buy it. In some parts of the country it’s not crazy-expensive.
I hate lobster. I used to get a couple a week for nothing from a co-worker who kept a few traps. I would have given them away, but my wife and kids loved them.
The point is that standing behind someone in a shopping line deriding someone is not productive. I am not accusing you of that, but others have suggested doing just that.
If you don’t like hoe EBT works, call your state reps and Congressmen. That is the only way it will change. Screening on FR does nothing. The screen that started this accomplished nothing but confirming that this placed is frequented by a number of jerks who pop their head up in threads like this.
