The University of Tulsa just abolished its traditional departments, including Economics and PoliSci.
Instead, it now has four broad divisions called "Ecology, Environment & Sustainability," "Human Biology and Behavior," "Fine Arts and Media" and... "Humanities & Social Justice."

This isn’t babylon bee?
Can they play basketball?
Perhaps it’s from The Onion???
So “Climatology,” “Women’s Studies,” “African-American Studies,” etc. splinter away from traditional departments (”literature,” “history,” etc.) so they can escape a review process that would laugh them out of the room with their outrageous theories. Then they come back and eliminate the old departments.

I applaud that move. It will let prospective students who are serious about learning know which schools to avoid up front and parents to know the same.
“Ecology, Environment & Sustainability”
“Human Biology and Behavior”
“Fine Arts and Media”
“Humanities & Social Justice.”
No natural science department?
Question: Where would you apply if you wanted to major in math or chemistry?
Answer: Not the University of Tulsa.
They’re in the new-ish “American Athletic Conference,” which was born of the charred remains of the old Big East conference when the non-football, mostly Catholic teams left with the name. Basically, they raided the Conference USA. So-so in B-ball, but they should drop football (2-6, 3-9).
Why does it matter? Because they HAVE to be bleeding money like HELL for the prestige of being a “football school.”
No natural science or math department means no good math professors means strictly fake social sciences.
Whoa. This just sank in: “”Ecology, Environment & Sustainability,” and “Human Biology and Behavior” are two separate fields. So “Ecology, Environment & Sustainability” now doesn’t just inadequately cover physics, meteorology and geology, but even biology?
HR departments nationwide: You’ve been warned.

Some associates of Dean Wormer have let him know how they want the school run. Maybe a few “loans” from that endowment.
If what you are doing is political indoctrination anyway, then like the University of Tulsa then why not go all out and just admit it. I think it is a tragic, sad but obvious state of affairs, for academia. Watch, it will not be the last to do that.
Go there 4 years and then try to get a job.
Those subjects were too hard. Dogma is easier, just memorize regurgitate and graduate.
That’s helpful. Thanks. I retract my comment above.

Yep. Perhaps Tulsa should add this department: “Job Skills for the Fast-Food Industry”.
