I loved the old Dragnet episode from the 50s where the Baby Jesus statue from the Nativity scene at a church goes missing and he and his partner Frank have to find the culprit. It has a happy ending.
Remade in color with Harry Morgan as the partner in the late 1960's.

Yes, saw that one not long ago. Lee Marvin was a serial killer who watched is diet.
That one came from the Bizarre-O files. It had a Twilight Zone quality to it.

The second run in the 70’s had a lot of bizarre drug stories. Like Blue-Boy.

The linked original episode was also in color but only B/W prints survive.

I tend to binge listen to that and Tales Of The Texas Rangers. Similar in a lot of ways.

Harry Morgan shows up in a couple of the OTR shows.
One as a hotel manager and another as a robber.

I don’t remember the episode name but one of the most touching was of a criminal whose little girl is dying of cancer. Despite being a criminal he is a good Father.
She dies and he has no way to provide a funeral. The police chaplain takes over.

I remember Harry Callahan inflicting pain on a perp to find out where he buried a girl alive. I approve of his methodology

I like “The Shadow” and also “The Six Shooter”. The latter starred Jimmy Stewart.
