Looks like Hampton Inn doesn't screen their managers very well.

I love how the Catholic church sells its services.

Would’ve been a difference ballgame if the manager had been named Patel.

At least she didn’t insist upon a mobile exorcism conducted on twin scooters in a Wal Mart parking lot. That would be pretty normal for Florida.

Fields was going through a divorce and believed his marital problems were because he had demons.
Well, duh. The purpose of divorce
is to have one less demon.

Hazard KY?
Besides the obvious “Dukes” references, isn’t this area also a focal point for “snake handlers”?
Might explain a lot.

Sharon Lindon, his manager, learned Fields was going through a divorce and believed his marital problems were because he had demons. This is why I'm self employed - got tired of managers insisting on an exorcism.

Maybe it's a misunderstanding and the boss at the Hampton Inn wanted him to exercise. That Kentucky accent can be tricky for some folk.

Does their health plan cover that?

“Lindon is accused of telling Fields he had to get cleansed in order to keep working at the hotel.”
All kidding aside, that was a mistake IMO.

Well, it could have been worse. She could have been from one of those “churches” who do “snake handling!”

It sounds suspicious to me.
I think there are too many details missing from this story.

Now, if it were a Wyndham hotel, I’d be comforted to know the manager believed in exorcisms...

I didn't know Hampton Inn had a exorcism room!
You sure that wasn't an exercise room?

Isn’t”demons” a euphemism for a drinking problem and “get clean” means sober up? I bet the personal questionnaire was about drinking habits.

I actually stayed at this Hampton Inn in Hazard once back in the ‘90s. I was with someone who needed an exorcism.
