Coughing stuff back up without a whimper might buy some leniency for the city when the civil suits really get going.
This made the Duke Lacrosse fake rape hoax look small scale.
Before posting, I scrolled through the replies. I found that there were four other responses but no response from Texas Gator. What gives?
They can forget about getting their property back. Other cops have their motorcycles and guns. And what cash they had was also shared by the police.

Soon some politician will demand an “investigation” which will take about 6 years and conclude the entire fiasco was the fault of some low level flunky who conveniently had a heart attack recently while mowing his lawn. A few days ago, the DA dismissed the Twin Peaks cases so high time they all get their stuff back. Too bad they can’t get their reputations back. Or their jobs. Or their lost wages. Or the houses, etc. they’ve lost.

Yeah, used to go to Austin on business. It’s like Berkeley without SF Bay, or Boulder, Colorado without the Rockies. There aren’t even any $hit kickers there so for Texas, it’s a breed apart.
They won’t be able to file a civil suit until the “investigation” is over.
