General Motors CEO Mary Barra made the announcement on Thursday night in New York, after arriving at a charity gala in a camouflaged prototype of the car that was driven by its chief engineer, Tadge Juechter, and emblazoned with the date it will officially debut: 07/18/2019.

Funny.
IIRC that exterior was developed to impede competitors from being able to distinguish the true body lines and shape. A lot of vehicles in test phase use it......I think.

Yep, saw a Toyota in the parking lot at the donut shop at the top of Pike’s Peak with the same stuff all over it.

I've been following the Corvette saga on The Drive. Apparently the launch date has been pushed back several times because of drivetrain issues.
Also, Chevrolet was disappointed that they didn't get a sub-7 minute time on the Nürburgring.
