I hear that it is coming back for one more season - I hope, to many unanswered questions.

I need to watch that.
However I am always leery of moving law enforcement stories into space. The hardly ever work right.

Love Red Dwarf...my daughter & I binge watch it together sometimes. Just like we do B5.

Regarding B5 I’ve told this story before. When it was on TV my daughter was a toddler. My wife would not let me watch when it was on because my daughter would watch it with us and it gave her nightmares - scary space monsters. Much later when she is in high school she is watching reruns and asks me about it. I tell her the story of her nightmares & the space monsters. She later buys me DVDs of the series for me and we continue to binge watch it when he husband lets her have dear old dad time.

I thought “the Chronicle” was great!

A very clever idea for a show. It truly deserved more episodes.

For some reason Maya registered a creep factor four with me. But the chick with the blue hair on UFO passed with flying colors. Ah the fantasies of youth!

I was going to mention Quark, but someone beat me to it.

But I think I’ll go with Buck Rogers, if only because more Erin Gray in spandex would be a good thing.

True!
However Gil Gerrad wouldn’t be!
I read somewhere he had a huge gaining weight problem, impacted the show & his later TV/movie career.

agreed. I just watched season 3 not realizing it was cancelled. Almost threw remote through the screen at the ending. Sci Fi shows are bad about ending on cliffhangers and never finishing the story. Alphas did the same thing.

Sliders NEEDS to be revived.

The cool thing about Mantis is that people didnt make a big deal out of the main character, nor go insane when it was canceled....which is a sad commentary on today’s culture that this is a big deal.

He had a severe weight problem once.

I met him at a DragonCon and I didn’t recognize him but the voice was about the same.

Another con or two, he had lost a lot.

Great show about 4 people stuck “sliding” between alternative Earths where historical events or civilization as a whole went in different direction. One of the worlds they went to is where the French won the Seven Years War. Another is one where their is no societal knowledge of the constitution.

Maybe a bit of foreshadowing.

If you watch it, stop around the halfway point of season 2.

It goes south real fast.

Sounds like it started out assuming a somewhat sophisticated at least history-wise audience.
Then either the sponsors or the network management became convinced that wasn’t the case and went for the lowest common denominator.
