My Daughter gave me a subscription to Netflix. I ordered both seasons of “The Invaders”. For the first few episodes I was disappointed. Not as good as I remembered.

Then it began to get better. I think I was just getting into it again. They had several interviews with Roy Thinnes. He said the show was for some reason still popular in France.

Another Fox show that should have gone on longer was “Brimstone “.

I have the DVDs and though I still love the show, it is kind of funny how the aliens use the then common gauges and the like.

That’s weekly episodic TV for you.

Jericho was not a post-war world.

It was some kind of deep state plot to take over the country by detonating nuclear bombs simultaneous in two dozen major cities.

The rest of the world had no damage, just America....with the exception of Iran and North Korea, who were falsely blamed for the attacks and were wiped out.

It was a really good series. Had me sitting on the edge of my chair. I just wish it had lasted longer.

Firefly's creator, showrunner, and owner Joss Whedon insists that Firefly will not be resurrected as a TV series, but he has approved a line of novels as a continuation. My guess is that if a compelling storyline emerges from that effort, we may eventually see a new TV series set in the Firefly universe.

Instead of mourning what was never filmed, we should celebrate the Firefly episodes that we have as near perfect. Perhaps killed off too early, Firefly did not suffer the creative exhaustion of long-running, successful TV shows that go on too long and become lucrative embarrassments to their creators.

I was about to say "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" but I found out it had run a respectable 4 seasons (64 to 68)! Man, I never missed an episode of that!

I also just read that it was set in the "future" (1970's and 1980's). I don't remember that detail, but I was just a dumb little kid who thought it was a cool show.

BSG was also a Tektronix commerical.

From what I remember of the ‘cons where some of the BSG’ers would show up, it was 7 days a week production.
