Farah was definitely on my wall...until my mother made me take it down. I think the room where the photo was taken was a bit chilly and Farah exhibited the proof of that and dear old mom objected. So I put her on the back of the door...she never caught on. Or at least she never said anything...
POTUS just boarded AF1 at Andrews heading to MN for tax day event.
So I’m in Zurich for work on the new project. Had a connecting flight through DC. Sitting next to me going to DC was that ‘paragon’ of a priorDem Dennis Kucinich. It took every fiber of my being not to tell him WWG1WGA or ‘The Great Awakening is upon us’ as I got off the plane.... but I knew he would consider it a threat and I had an intl flight to catch. He pretty much napped the whole way - he did take two personal calls before take off and after landing. I could be reading a lot into it, but I distinctly heard an ‘I love you’ ‘I miss you’..maybe an ‘I wish I could be there’ type comment. He was very reserved and seemed down. I know some of you would have likely not made it here as I sit for dinner, and tormented him the whole flight, if the flight got off the ground at all... but I kinda need this project to go well. So I restrained myself.
The Farah poster certainly is/was a piece of Americana.
I was on a field service trip for a lighting company doing some component change-out in a Gee Bee department store. It was St. Paddy's day in 1977. That poster was EVERYWHERE in that store and of all sizes. That poster took the edge off the incessant St. Patrick's day music being playing in there.
Farah's OK, but I was partial to Jaclyn Smith.
